Meet Jo Dee Messina

Jo Dee Messina is an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist with a string of chart-topping hits. A true performer since the age of six, Jo Dee moved from Holliston, Massachusetts to Nashville at nineteen and later released her self-titled debut, granting her the first of many Top 10 Hits. Her music career is filled with number one hits, including “Bring on the Rain,” “Bye Bye” and “That’s the Way.”

A two-time Grammy nominee, she has won countless awards for her music, including the Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Female Vocalist; Billboard Magazine’s Most Played Country Female Artist of the Year Award and a Boston Music Award for Outstanding Country Act.

Her latest album, Me, released to rave reviews March 18, 2014. In the spring of 2013, Jo Dee had created a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to make the album instead of following the traditional record label route. Her campaign allowed fans to be extensively involved in the creation of Me.

Jo Dee is an avid philanthropist, supporting charities such as the Red Cross, Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Special Olympics, and many others. She also organized a series of benefit concerts that raised $2.3 million for people affected by the Joplin tornado in 2011.

She is married with two young sons and is a dedicated runner, having completed many marathons.
