Thank You

From Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can't Believe My Dog Did That!

Thank You

Hello again dog lovers! As we go to print on the second dog book I have co-authored for Chicken Soup for the Soul, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to each and every one of you who sent us a story, or in some cases, many stories.

This particular Chicken Soup for the Soul title lent itself to submissions that were laugh-out-loud funny. I never knew just what crazy, completely canine tale I was going to get to read. Thank you for putting a smile on my face!

As always, all of us at Chicken Soup for the Soul appreciate the time and energy that you spent crafting your story and sharing your lives with us. As is often the case, we could only publish a small percentage of the stories that were submitted, but we read every single one. Even the stories that do not appear in the book influenced us and affected the final manuscript.

A special thank you goes to Chicken Soup for the Soul editors Barbara LoMonaco and Jeanne Blandford, who read all the stories and poems with me. This book could not have been made without their diligence, input, and well-oiled knowledge of what makes a great Chicken Soup for the Soul story. Amy Newmark, Chicken Soup for the Soul’s whip-smart publisher had my back during every stage of creating this book and guided me gracefully and with quick replies. I also want to thank Assistant Publisher D’ette Corona for managing the whole production process, and editor Kristiana Glavin for all her help with creating the final manuscript and getting it off to the printer.

Thank you to cartoonists Jonny Hawkins, Mark Parisi, Dan Reynolds, and Andrew Toos for giving us eleven reasons to giggle throughout the book. Lastly, I owe a very special thanks to our creative director and book producer, Brian Taylor at Pneuma Books, for his brilliant vision for our covers and interiors.
