Who Is Chrissy Donnelly?

Chrissy Donnelly is a bestselling author, speaker and entrepreneur. As coauthor of Chicken Soup for the Sports Fan’s Soul, she helped capture the excitement, inspiration and true nature of our fascination with games and the lessons that we carry over to the game of life. Sports is second nature to Chrissy: She started gymnastics and dance lessons at age four and has accumulated more than twenty years of dance experience. A dozen years of gymnastics training included a stint on her high school varsity team. Chrissy performed with the Moving Force Dance Company for two years and competed in U.S. Gymnastics Federation competitions for six years. She has performed as a dancer and model for NIKE, Redken and Columbia Sportswear, and has appeared on television, both in commercials and on a weekly national aerobics program. She also ran track and is an avid golfer, hiker, skydiver and waterskiier.

Her enthusiasm, energy and skills have served her well in the business arena. After graduating from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Chrissy obtained her certified public accountant’s license in 1991. She worked for Price Waterhouse from 1989 through 1995, acquiring Big Six international accounting experience.

She met her husband Mark in 1994 and together they cofounded Donnelly Marketing Group, developing and carrying out marketing, promotional and editorial activities that help spread the Chicken Soup message far and wide. The couple speaks in the national circuit about love and relationships, and sports as a metaphor for life.

Chrissy is coauthor of the number-one New York Times bestsellers, Chicken Soup for the Couple’s Soul (January 1999) and Chicken Soup for the Golfer’s Soul (June 1999). She and Mark are working on several other Chicken Soup titles.

Chrissy lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona, with her husband Mark. They can be reached at:
