Nuts to Par

It was a beautiful autumn day, and I decided to play a round of golf. When I called a friend to see if he wanted to join me, his wife answered the phone. “Pat’s enjoying himself cleaning the yard,” she said. “Right now he’s pitching walnuts from under a tree into the vacant lot next door.”

“That’s enjoyable?” I asked.

“He’s using an 8-iron,” she replied.
